This show consists of "Under a Green Sky", a Banburyshire Tale, abridged into five parts.
Our largest challenge is to emphasise the important of timely action to prevent catastrophic changes to our environment. Copenhagen was a signal that politicians still haven't got the message.
"after becoming a grandparent, these issues took up more of my considerations. But as a lifelong ecologist and technologist, I have always been hopeful for the future, while being mindful of the issues."
Listen to the story, and spend some time reflecting on how you would like to see the world.

Featuring music :
Jon Fletcher with A Sailors Life, recorded live at the Port Mahon in Oxford.
Tom Leary with The White Moon
The Machine Breakers with There Was A Time
Gren Bartley with Carry Her Safe

Show 206 - Wed December 23rd 2009
Presented by Jules Procter.

All the music on this show has a Scottish theme. There have been many celebrations this year marking the 250 years since the birth of Rabbie Burns, and it is a sign of just how influential his work has been in the number of places it turns up in, both musically, poetically and geographically.
At this time of year it is traditional to think about family and friends, regarding back over the year and looking forward to the coming year, a tradition I fully endorse, and it's something I think we should do more often.
The contact of friends, some of whom I haven't seen in too many years, is also always a cheering event. So best wishes to Lance in Exmouth, Owen, Ticker and all the Oxford crowd and Dave and Pip in Salibury.

Featuring music :
Corn Rigs by Hector Gilchrist
The Dashing White Sargeant by Coila
Ae Fond Kiss by Jim McAdams
Auld Lang Syne by Wee Alex
